Our Booth At Playcon
- October 27, 2025
A few weeks ago, we set up our very first booth at Malta’s Playcon, and what an unforgettable experience it turned out to be. Our goal was simple: connect with players, start building our community, and gather valuable playtesting feedback for our upcoming VR title, Discovery of Magic.
The response blew us away. Attendees didn’t just stop by, many came back multiple times to play again, with a few even playing our demo up to three to five times throughout the weekend. Some even stating they came to the event just to see us which was breath taking. The crowd’s energy was contagious, and it was incredible to see the players’ reactions and talent as they got immersed in weaving magic.
When asked if they’d replay the game, around 90% said yes – a huge motivator for our small team. A few of our new Discord members even joked that they’re “bugging their parents to buy them a headset” just to join our next private playtest.
Moments like that remind us exactly why we do this – to create something truly magical that players want to come back to again and again.
By the end of the event, we had:
- 100+ Steam wishlists
- 80 new members in our growing Discord community
- 70 detailed feedback forms filled with insights, suggestions, and fresh ideas.
While the overall reception was fantastic, Playcon also gave us valuable lessons to level up the experience. The most common feedback was around simplifying the control scheme and sharpening the spell related visuals, particularly to reduce blurriness. Both are now at the top of our polish list!
What made us proudest is seeing that people loved our stylized art direction and free-form spell weaving system the most. Many players told us they’d never experienced anything quite like it in VR before which is what we’re all about!
We left Playcon with more excitement than ever and a clear direction for what’s next. This was only the beginning of our Discovery of Magic journey, and we can’t wait to share more!
P.S You’d know you’re on to something when Gandalf himself comes to play your wizarding game. 😎
